Back to Birth

After a break from taking my own doula clients I’ve been fortunate to be the back-up doula for a colleague and to attend two births on her behalf this spring. This has been a perfect test to see if our family is ready for me to return to birthwork.
My son, our second child, was born in the summer of 2021 just before the Omicron and Delta variants of COVID-19 returned many of us to a state of fear and isolation. While we were otherwise seeing very few people, I attended four births his first winter. Unfortunately this turned out to be very challenging for him and my husband, so I didn’t seek doula clients again after that.
My son will turn three this summer and it has become much easier for him to be apart from me. Most importantly for the function of our family, if he comes to our bed in the night and I’ve left for a birth, he falls back asleep instead of crying for me for hours. He’s ready!
I’m so excited to share my presence, knowledge, and support with families again!
In addition to my birth doula, and postpartum doula services, I’m offering a Professional Birth Preparation service. This is everything I offer birth clients just without on-call labor and birth support. I help clients identify what is most important to them, offer ideas for prenatal to preparation, and teach them skills to use during birth.
If you are seeking an experienced doula to support you please reach out! If I supported you during your labor, birth, or postpartum time, please share my availability with your friends and family who are expecting!
Wishing you fragrant blossoms and snuggly babies!
