We are so grateful to have had Grace with us for the birth of our baby. From beginning to end she was knowledgeable, positive, attentive and communicative with us and the staff at the hospital. Grace has a gift for making everyone feel at ease and was truly a bridge between myself and the medical team.
We had unforeseen circumstances that resulted in me being induced a month earlier than expected. Because of this we didn’t have an opportunity to meet Grace [beforehand] in person like we’d planned. However, she showed up to support us and we are so grateful she did. Upon meeting Grace at the hospital, I immediately felt comfortable. Her warmth made it feel like I had known her for ages. We could tell that she understood my needs, respected my birthing choices and had valuable insight on different birthing positions.
Grace was there every step of the way for our 37 hour labor and delivery. There were countless decisions to be made, and hours of monitoring and little sleep, and Grace was a constant source of support throughout the entire experience. From making sure my husband and I were fed, to assisting with getting me comfortable in the bed, or simply taking a walk with me. She made sure we understood the process and options so that we could make informed decisions. She advocated for every choice without judgement.
Throughout this experience Grace captured the sweetest moments that I will forever cherish. She helped with our birthing playlist and snapped our baby’s first pictures. All things that you want to remember but often get lost in the commotion of the moment. I can say without a doubt that I received a better outcome for myself and our baby because Grace showed up for us in a big way. Her dedication to her craft is extraordinary.
Additionally, I received great support from Grace after we brought the baby home. Her resources and knowledge were valuable. Her check-ins were so appreciated and I knew if I needed anything or had any questions Grace would be there helping. I cannot recommend Grace enough!
